I’d like to be able to, for example, create one ‘es’ variable named base that is the base of my tree.

Building upon that, I’d like to define a $build_conf variable that is the path to my build settings as follows:

es X build_conf ‘$base/build’

If this could work, that’d be rad. Then I could just change base anytime I move the source tree to another location, and the rest of my environment would still work.
