depend on file

I'm pondering whether to add an option for a chunk to depend on a file, using its modification time. That would currently save me a lot of time with my calculations, my solver for an objective function is in an external R file that is sourced. Do you have any opinions/input on this?

Also, when are you doing the next release?

non-cached objects that are depended on gives error

If there is a non-cached objects that are depended on there will be an error:
Error in as.POSIXlt.default(x) :
do not know how to convert 'x' to class “POSIXlt”
That is because the non-cached object does not have a timestamp, this should be handled more gracefully.
