azure-docker-swarm-cluster's Introduction

Hello World

I'm a deeply technical guy, currently Principal Architect at Azure for Operators (back in the telco low-level, high-performance, 5G/Edge/PMEC bleeding edge) after around 20 years of work in the telco/internet industry (where I did just about everything from network planning to mass-market product development) and 8+ years doing Azure and cloud-native apps, data & AI elsewhere in Microsoft.

I've been blogging about technology in general (but mostly about Macs) at Tao of Mac since 2002, and have a little portfolio site with more info.

Make sure you also visit Insightful Systems and Piku while you're here.

Add new sample services

Build a set of worker containers that coordinate via Redis to do some parallel processing.

Question

Looking to implement similar setup with Windows containers and wondering how VMSS are joining/leaving swarm automatically. I don't see it anywhere in template location for the script which performs this functino and how it's being done.

SSL Offloading

Thanks for sharing your work, it is very helpful!

In our particular scenario, we would like to do SSL offloading at the load balancer so that each of the agents doesn't have to be given the SSL certificate and a corresponding password.

Since the Azure Load Balancer doesn't support SSL offloading, I'm curious if there are any known drawbacks to using the Azure Application Gateway instead?
