1. Fork the repo on GitHub.

2. Clone the project to your own machine.

3. Create a branch using the git checkout command.

git checkout -b <your-new-branch-name>

4. Stage your changes and commit with a meaningful commit message.

git add .
git commit -m "<initial commit>" 

5. Push your work back up to your fork.

git push origin <add-your-branch-name>
