searchfunctionality's Introduction

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm install

To install all the dependencies

npm run dev or npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

Assumptions/Methodology

  1. Search is designed to work on the Name column
  2. Pagination is used to display data in the table
  3. Search is not case sensitive
  4. Uses filter and includes functionality to search

Limitations/ Enhancements

  1. Regex can be used to improve performance of search
  2. Using filter can consume time while searching as it requires iterating over data
