Please consider following the new convention for Django 1.5:

monkey-patching approach does not work with celery (3.1) because celery is loaded in the projects' _init.py before email-html. thus celery always uses the built-in send_mail. maybe it is not directly a problem of email-html but not being able to use it with celery is a problem.

Impossible to use custom user model in Django 1.7 due to AppRegistryNotReady exception:

django.core.exceptions.AppRegistryNotReady: Models aren't loaded yet.

With Django 1.7 beta4, the development server exits with:

RuntimeError: App registry isn't ready yet.

error.

When trying to install via pip using the following command:

pip install django-email-html

The outcome is:

Downloading/unpacking django-email-html
  Could not find any downloads that satisfy the requirement django-email-html
No distributions at all found for django-email-html
Storing complete log in ...

First of all thanks for all the effort. I find this extension very handy.

Currently only if the message body starts with , the email is rendered as html. Although perfectly valid, if the html tag as extra attributes, such as , the email is rendered as plain text.

Also, if the document has , etc. as the first tag, it is rendered as plain text as well.
