Any development I do for squeezelite happens in a local master subversion repository and then pushed via svn2git to github. That's where the revision number comes from after the version number in squeezelite.h
There really hasn't been any official releases just rolling incremental changes. I can investigate svn2git tags support or perhaps it's time to release a 1.9?

Hey Ralph, it's actually pretty easy to tag your Github projects without involving your Subversion workflow. In Github, click on Releases and it will open a new menu where you can add tags to a particular commit level. I'd suggest using the same tags as the squeezelite.h version-revlevel string.

Hi Ralph, thanks for looking into it - I wasn't chasing for you to tag stuff right away or anything, just that when you feel ready to make a "release", creating a tag (possibly with a GiHub release) would be very helpful.
