i cant Export records (5,4 Mio records) to Excel ...

there Comes the following .NET Framework Error: unhandeld exception.
I tested different values for BatchSize (from 500-5000) and Max Rows per File.

We are having an issue with the date field that is reporting the wrong date. It is off by (-1) date in the US. Say we have the EOM date of 7/31/2019 12:00:00 AM the export is stating 7/30/2019 7:00:00 PM . We assume it has something to do with UTC, but how can we change this in Export to Excel?

Is it possible to pull back the guid of the lookup instead of the name value?
I want to export data and import it into a new cds instance and preserve the lookup values. There are some lookup values which have the same name so I cannot import them using the regular data import method without getting an error.

@rajyraman This is a really helpful tool to export huge data of Dynamics 365 entity. However, the processing of the data fetch of the tool is rigorously slow after the latest update, and also, after a long run, it gives the connection a lost error. please look into it and make it work like before. First of all, this is a wonderful tool, thank you!

However, it looks like we may have an issue that is possibly due to the batch size. When exporting a list of data that was 1,092 lines and leaving the batch size at the default of 500, the tool exported 1,088. I tried this yesterday and today and it consistently gave the same amount but the specific data missed was different each time.

When I changed the batch size to be larger then my expected result set (1200) it exported the exported 1,092 lines. This seems to be consistent as well.

Great tool. It helps a lot. I wonder if you have the time and the will, to add option of defining custom excel header names and possibly option of choosing Logical field names for excel column headers.

For example:
<attribute name="telephone1" customName="Telephone number" logicalName="true"/>
Where if logicalName="true", it overrides customName and name and writes Logical field name as header.
I would help and edit the RetrieveAttributeMetadata function but, I am not experienced enough to test it in CRM.

Hello, this tool is so helpful and it was working fine until it suddenly started exporting data across a number of different excel files (when there were only just over 100K rows in the AF). I uninstalled the application and then re-installed and now getting this error message. Advice asap would be super.

I get this error when running in Visual Studio: An exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Windows.Forms.dll but was not handled in user code
Additional information: Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'lvViews' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on.

We are unable to get entities with lots of records to work since the last few updates. It used to take us 15 mins to export all the key entities from our entire system, it now takes hours, and the larger entities don't seem to ever complete...

Get the following error when trying to export. Connected to Crm just fine, actually exported a couple entities, but then it stopped. Will start export and then fail with the following message. Went back to try and reexport entities that were initially successful and they failed the second time.

I've been using the tool for a while now to connect to CRM2011 onprem with no issues, but since the update last week an even after the latest releases I've been unable to use the tool. The most recent error on version 3.0.1 are
Upon opening the tool and connecting I get an unhandle exception.

If I attempt to export then I get a formatter error

Is there a way I can rollback to a previous working version of the tool.

Batchsize should be used along with "count", not as a replacement for.

Thank you very much for the fixes you have applied to the latest version of Export to Excel. One question I have is how can I set the default "Batch Size" to 5000 lines? Every time I restart the tool, I need to remember to set the number of lines to 5000, is there any easy way around this?

Great plugin!

It would be great if it was possible to export the guid of both the target entity type and for related entities. We use this when trying to find data problems which are hard to discover directly by advance find but need to find the correct record afterwards.

Am exporting 6100 records and all seems to go well until the tool tries to write to Excel. I get the following message:

I am provided the option to Continue or Quit.
If I continue, i do not get an export file ad nothing else happens.

I frequently use your tool and I love it. It is two things I would like if it was different. One is a bug and the other is an enhancement on same theme.

Steps

1. Press load entities
2. Select Account
3. Select an Account view
4. Edit the fetchxml code directly (not using FXB)
5. Press Export to Excel

Expected
The excel file is produced by using the fetchxml code shown in the editor window

Actual
The excel file is produced by using the view selected in step 3

The enhancement, be able to skip step 1-3 and be able to directly when the tool is open enter the fetchxml code and press export to excel.
