Circular Widgets

A GNOME Shell extension to provide conky like widgets on gnome shell with few customization options, this extension aims to show system information on desktop

Installation

Download zip file : https://github.com/raihan2000/circular-widgets
Extract to circular-widgets-master
make install

Add customize options for calendar widget

Now there is no customisation for calendar In future it will be added. To track the customisation for calendar this issue is opened.

This throws a failed to open error.

GLib.FileError: Failed to open file “/home/xxxx/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/schemas/gschemas.compiled”: open() failed: No such file or directory

Add an option to add logo in background of clock

Any Type of logo or specially Distro logo will be in background of clock

UPDATE NEEDED

I really like this extension. Please update it for GNOME 44.

GNOME 45 support?

GNOME 45 have switched to ES Module, btw.

Add older version gnome-shell also

I have ported your extension to GNOME 45 and TypeScript. I don't know if it will work yet. Please review, and feel free to merge it

This is the first time I have touch extension code and GJS, ever, so I am not sure if I made any mistakes. I would appreciate your review.

I did disable the drag and drop feature, because I didn't know how exactly to fix it.

You can also merge it to your repo if you want.

Unable to reposition

HI,

Unfortunately, I can not reposition the widget on my desktop. I have tried double click and dragging, left click, etc... it just does not work. Any suggestions, please?

Add network usage and position

Hello,
Nice extension, thank you. Would be nice to have a network widget.
Also would it be easy to add a position parameter so it would be easy to line up the widgets?

Allow widget to take info from text file

I want to add a current monitor from a piece of equipment.

Would be great if there was a widget that we could read a label and value from a text file, this could then be set via shell script or Python or anything else. Being able to add more than one would be nice too.

Drop Clutter.Actor Instead Use St.drawingArea

Clutter.Actor and Clutter.Canvas works together. There is more simple and easy to Use api which also uses gnome ui. So use St.drawingArea to cope with gnome eco system

Agenda language month names + agenda widget keeps showing

Hi,
The agenda widget keeps popping up even if turned off everytime I log in.
Also, the language of the month names is not in my system language (english). It names December as Dicember.
