ember-apijax

A small wrapper around ic-ajax for making API requests from your Ember app.

Installation

# From within your ember-cli project
ember install:addon ember-apijax

Usage

First, be sure to set the API host in your application's config/environment.js file:

ENV['ember-apijax']['host'] = 'https://api.example.com';

Then, from within any route, component, or controller:

this.apijax.POST('items', params);
this.apijax.PUT('items/1', params);
this.apijax.DELETE('items/1');
this.apijax.GET('items/1');

Extra leading slash added after host when leading slash specified in URL (ala README)

I'm trying out apijax with ember#canary (roughly 1.11beta) and ember-cli 0.1.15.

I've found that when I specify a host without a trailing slash in configuration and I specify a "/path" for my URL parameter using apijax.GET, I get double slashes ala "http://example.com//path".

As a workaround, I'm dropping the slash from the path parameter, but that contradicts the README and is perhaps counterintuitive.

README version of configuration of host results in error

I'm using ember#canary (roughly 1.11beta) and ember-cli 0.1.15.

When I follow the README instructions for config/environment.js, I get the following error:

Cannot set property 'host' of undefined
TypeError: Cannot set property 'host' of undefined

However, when I specify the following in config/environment.js, it works:

  ENV['ember-apijax'] = {
    'host': 'http://' + ENV.APP.askThemHost
  };

I can see that in the add on, there is a config/environment.js that looks like it should set up ENV['ember-apijax'], but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.
