First, thanks for putting this together and maintaining it! I'm very new to Hackintosh and I decided to give this a shot on my UX32VD as it's collecting dust these days! FYI, I have Ubuntu 20.04 running on it, but I wanna erase it completely and install Catalina.

I've been attempting this for the past 2 days without avail... I followed everything in your guide very carefully. I can boot up Clover from the USB, it even shows my Ubuntu UEFI boot entry. However, it's missing the Install macOS Catalina entry, as if it doesn't know where the installer is located. Searching online suggests maybe the HFS+ driver is not correctly loaded. But after following this guide that you linked, I see VfsHFS driver on the Clover USB.

Also, the guide wasn't quite clear on whether I need 1) one single USB that has Clover on EFI and Catalina on the main partition, or 2) two USBs with Clover on one and the Catalina installer on the other. I tried both options to be safe, but I don't see an install entry under either one.

I also tried with Clover r5119 and r5120. Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if I can provide additional information.

Any ideas how to enable trim?

With danieleds DSDT fans rotate at maximum speed, I don't know what to do.

there was always a standard card, I replaced it with Broadcom bcm9360hmb, the Bluetooth still didn't work, then I deleted the USB Port. kext and SSDT-UIAC, the Bluetooth worked perfectly, BUT the laptop stopped falling asleep

As I understand AppleALC should work with this laptop, but I can't get it to work. Any ideas?

For some reasons, I could boot install only from USB located on the left side. Is it cult of cargo or some particular reasons to work like that?

Currently, I have an issue with Install Clover in EFI partition of OS X HDD

I booted to Mac, installed clover to root device, but it still didn't get a boot, any ideas how to fix?

As I got, the /Library/Extensions is a proper place for kext after installation (at least for wifi patches) what do you think if we'll move it to /Library/Extensions ?

BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext: Install to /System/Library/Extensions (/Library/Extensions on 10.11 and later). This kext is much more memory efficient than BrcmFirmwareData.kext and is the preferred configuration.

I'm trying to generate my own DSDT what I did:

1. extracted by pressing F4 on the clover boot screen
2. installed https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/acpica/downloads/

cd ~/Downloads
unzip iasl.zip
sudo cp iasl /usr/bin

3. copied my DSDT and SSDT*.aml files to dev folder and run

iasl -da -dl DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml

4. opened it with MaciASL.app and applied patches from https://github.com/danieleds/Asus-UX32VD-Hackintosh/tree/master/src/DSDT

5. pressed saved as and saved is as DSDT.aml

6. put to clover/acpi/patched, refreshed cache, selected it on boot

I have: IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0 sm 0x0

Hi Rafael, first of all thanks for your guide.
I've exactly your Notebook, with the same configuration.
Everything works fine under Calalina 10.15.4 (19E287) but WebCam.
Under System preferences it doesn't show up neither in "Camera" section or "USB" controllers.
I've tried almost everything on internet, have you got any suggestion? Does your webcam work?

Internal Card-Reader seem to work with 0xFireWolf/RealtekCardReader and 0xFireWolf/RealtekCardReaderFriend:

Realtek Card Reader on UX32vd working with this new kexts:
- RealtekCardReader.kext
- RealtekCardReaderFriend.kext

I'm on Opencore 7.0.3 with Big Sur 11.6. Please test it!

In your configuration, you deleted "- v", but the detailed mode remains, is it an error or a function? :)

As for the broken screen, is there no way to fix this error? (Yes, I know that closing the cover fixes this, I even found a faster way: hold the power off button for 1-2 seconds, the screen will turn off and then turn it on).

I want to thank you for your work and for not forgetting about this laptop! Thanks to you, I have been using Mac OS as my main OS for 3 years now.

Are you able to check default screen resolution in windows/linux? looks like 1600x900 is not best (or at least not HiDPi) for that display and 1920x1080 too small for me
