CloudManifest

Build Status

A web app that provides an easy to use panel for creating and running playbooks in Ansible.

Now Built with:

  • Flask
  • AngularJS
  • Firebase
  • Bootstrap

Other Stuff

You will need to export an environment variable named SECRET with the firebase api key.

$ export SECRET=<long api key from firebase>

When using ssh passwords host key checking will prevent you from connecting to hosts if they are not in your known_hosts file. You can get around this by either adding the host to the known_hosts file, using ssh keys or setting an enrivonrment variable ANSIBLE_HOST_KEY_CHECKING=False.

$ export ANSIBLE_HOST_KEY_CHECKING=False

Dynamic Inventory

Need to have ability to query cloud/dedicated account to see what servers exist or no longer exist and add or remove from hosts file and group accordingly.

need ability to include playbooks

at this time you can only run single playbooks unless using a github repo. Need the ability to include playbooks to add to a single run job.

missing stdout from ansible.runner

if more than 1 host get affected by a task it will not show the "[ok] servername" output from stdout as it does when only using a single host

custom files

need a way to include custom user data or files via (a) file import (b) copy/paste box (c) cloud files
