font-awesome-wordpress-plugin's Issues

HELLLPPP !!!! Font Awesome for Wordpress NOT WORKING IN ANY BROWSER

I have tried to get Font Awesome working in Wordpress for 4 days straight now.

A couple of quick questions: Here is the link to the site:

http://clenderma.com/yugii3/

a. I am using Font Awesom Menus 3.1.1 with the latest install of Wordpress. Also using a child theme.

  1. In the menu section, what exactly do I put in each field to get the icon-home to show up on the main menu home button? Navigation Label=?, Title Attribute=? CSS Classes(optional)=?
  2. Once those fields are set, what do I exactly put in the Page/Menu Title?
  3. I thought I had them working, and when checking the "missing icon" box that would show up, I would get the font-awesome class to show up, with the icon-home class in CSS Check, but still not showing the icon.
  4. I even tried a couple of the alternative plug-ins, and used complete URLS, to the the fonts folder. I did get them to show up initially when using the @font-face class, but I was having too many alignment issues, so decided to try the Font Awesom for Wordpress plug-in.

Please take a look and let me know if you find anything. I had to move on to some other projects.

Here is what shows up in Firebug, and Chrome checker:

  • icon-home
  • Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to use the plug-in because of all of the alignment issues without using one. I am only to any suggestions, and alternative plug-ins and routes. ~j

Create List of Icons

I was just thinking about extending this plugin to create a control in the WordPress theme customizer. But to do the thing I want to do I need a master list of all of the icons.

ex.

$font_awesome_icons = array("icon-star", "icon-heart", "icon-pencil", ...);

I could create that list in my extension but it might make more sense in this plugin. That way any number of people can extend this plugin. What are your thoughts?

If you think it's a good idea I can do the legwork. Let me know.

TinyMCE integration?

Hi Rachel,

I installed the plug-in, but do not see a "Glyphs" drop-down in my TinyMCE editor. Am I missing something? The plug-in appears to have installed properly. Also, typing in the codes, whether I use the semantically correct "span" or the "i", to change a simple bulleted list to one using the checked box as the bullet? Nope - doesn't work.

URL is http://atlasofrockcounty.org/event/men-of-valor/

I was able to get it to work using shortcodes - ugh :) - but no point-and-click glyphs in the editor. :(

Unordered List Issue

After upgrading to 3.1, the font icons in all my unordered lists are misbehaving. The default wordpress disk image is now appearing in addition to my selected font icon. The code I am using is:

ul class="icons">
li> i class="icon-ok" style="color: #077eca;"> /i>*&%$##@ /li>
/ul>

Everything was perfect in 3.0. Has something changed 3.1 or is this a bug?
