notebooks's Issues

General examples male/female uses

In all of the examples, you talk about men. The one time you mention a woman, the man is doing the actual work.
This creates an effect that women doesn't belong to this place, I'll explain more in person.

Week 4, summary issue

Hi, in week 4 summary, there is a hint to make sure you've got the assignment correct, but the hint is wrong

(Removed solution)

I made sure that 'election_voices' list is correct, i summed up the number of voices in the top of the screenshot.
here is the code im using:

(Removed solution)

and i have not received the number 249,333

שבועות 9-12

היי קודם כל תודה הקורס הזה אדיר!רציתי לשאול אם קיימות גם תיקיות לשבועות 9-12 ? אם כן , תוכלו להעלות אותם בבקשה?
תודה!!

suggestion: add syllabus in Readme.md

I want to learn Python for my work, but I need multithreading and multiprocessing, and I don't know if those notebooks have this material.
If the Syllabus was in Readme I could've know instantly.

Good Luck!

Terms only in Hebrew

I really like that you explain everything in Hebrew, but I think there's a problem. If they'll wan't to google search it, or understand some article written in English they won't be able too.
I strongly advise to add the English terms in parenthesis, so you'll teach Hebrew but won't be blocking them from the outside word.

Add PEP 8 - Coding style and conventions for Python

** Suggestion. Sorry for opening an issue (and not a PR).

I believe it will be a great idea to add a new chapter for a coding style according to PEP 8.

Although some projects have their own coding style, it's still important to learn the basics of Python conventions so beginner's code will be much more cleaner and readable for others.

I know you used Python conventions during the course but I think there should be a new whole chapter for this to emphasize this topic.

Week 3 - Mutability - Add exercises

I think the right way to go is to add some functions that misbehave.
The students would explain why the functions misbehave and rewrite them to get the correct form of these functions.

pdf version of all the notebooks

Hi Yam,

Thanks a lot for the effort you invested in this project, I hear about it from friends (and family) that wants to learn Python,
Is there a pdf version of all the notebooks? I want to go over the entire content and it will be much easier in pdf format.

Week 2, lesson 3

I really like how you explain it. I think something worth mentioning is global.
For 2 reasons:

  1. It'll make the concept clearer
  2. It's important they'll know it's an option (super bad one, but still they might be needing it or just seeing it somewhere)

Week 2, lesson 4

When you define list, you say its order.
I obviously understood, but I think you should emphasize it's keeping your order and not order you might want it to be in (and the example of the supermarket is even more confusing).
