The astrodynamics.constants
module will contain constants from the IAU 2009/2012 System of Astronomical Constants (PDF).
Initially I had planned for these to be instances of astropy.units.quantity.Quantity
, as I had started to do with astrodynamics.constants.wgs84
.
I think that the astropy.constants.Constant
class should be used, allowing source and uncertainty information to be captured.
This is probably down to compiling numpy. I see from numpy/numpy#5479 that the builds shouldn't really be used.
We should probably download wheels from http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/#numpy, perhaps placing into a numpy-wheels repository which the appveyor build can check out.

py.test
-> pytest
change?)I'm attempting to install and test the python astrodynamics software on a Mac Pro running Mac OS X (ver. 10.12.1) Sierra under Python 2.7.12 in the Anaconda distribution.
I cloned astrodynamics from GitHub and installed the software from its high level directory using the command, python setup.py install. The installation appeared successful, but when I executed the command, conda list, astrodynamics failed appear. See the file conda_list.txt attached to this file. What is going on here?
When I run the tests using the command, python runtests.py, I got file mismatch errors as indicated in the file instellation and test of astrodynamics.txt. My question here is how does one fix this problem?
Please advise.
Sam Dupree.
I'm not sure the best way to do this. The autodata
directive includes the docstring from astropy.units.Quantity
, which we don't want.
I'd like some automated solution, perhaps a helper script is the best idea for now.
Since documentation is automatically built on readthedocs, building should be tested.
Currently, G ร *_MASS
is used, leading to false precision.
These should be added to the constants module.
Main requirements:
dev
requirements:
Make note of programming style and conventions.
I found this project with same bug: hoechenberger/pphelper#41
It can work, because pyca/cryptography have it working.
Should use dev-requirements.txt
instead, with -e .[test]
.
