Species

  • Methods describing how the info presented for species were derived. (This is partly available, needs updating, @psolymos has some reports to copy-paste from.)
  • Use example species where we have model results, and one where only summaries are presented, to walk through the results and explain how to make sense of the figures (this can be combined with the Methods description). This document can also explain what to find in the downloadable tables, thus serving as metadata for the tables.
  • Species maps: the zip files with raster layers contain a thumbnail and a readme file (see the contents at the end of this document).
  • Describe the limitations (a version is posted, possibly needs updating)
  • We were talking about making the data (species data + variables used in modeling) available. This would also require some metadata/documentation.

Geospatial

  • When providing raw data (layers), provide thumbnails and metadata (description, units, projections: single lookup table is sufficient).
    • Climate: thumbnails and lookup tables are provided within the zip file
    • Soils: thumbnails and lookup tables are provided within the zip file
    • Vegetation: we are only providing links
    • Footprint: we are only providing links
    • Topography: thumbnails and lookup tables are provided within the zip file

Guilds (this is not yet populated)

  • Methods describing how the info presented for guilds were derived from raw data or
  • If tables are provided for download, attach metadata and explanation outlining what rows/columns mean, so that users know how to apply them.
