- Open your course folder in Windows Explorer. Clone the repository into this folder following the steps below.
- Open Browser to https://github.com/profcase/collaboration-starter.
- Select the URL and use CTRL-C to copy to clipboard.
- Right-click in your course folder and select Git Clone...
- URL should auto-copy to URL, if not, paste it to URL field.
- Verify URL and local folder look good. Click OK.
- Open this repo folder in Windows Explorer.
- Right-click in this folder and select TortoiseGit / Pull.
- IMPORTANT: Always pull code right before you edit.
- Open the document in Visual Studio Code (or Notepad++).
- Edit the document: Add your topic under your heading.
- Right-click in this folder and select Git Commit -> master...
- Enter a commit message.
- Click All (if you had added new files, this would add them to source control - it's a good habit).
- Click OK to add & commit your changes locally.
- Click Push.
- If you get a warning you're behind, it just means that changes have been made to our shared repo in the cloud and you need to pull them to get the current code.
- Click OK and pull new code as shown above.
- Try Push again. Right-click in this folder, and select Git / Push.
