A factual look at history based on honestish autobiographical fiction

PrairieNative is my story ... it is 100% truthful ... ish ... well, yeah, "truthfulish" is a good word for it ... it's just like something that the Big Guy in the Oval Office would say [and believe].

As my own father ... another naive young man, a wholesome, unsophisticated native of the prairies, like me when I went in ... was fond of saying, "The facts have been changed to make it a story; good enough for coverage on a network news program."

He didn't usually include the last clause ... no point in being too obvious ... and, in most situations and most of the time, I am pretty sure that nobody really wanted to even think about that sort of thing ... it was much easier to just flip on the tube and just SWALLOW whatever Walter Cronkite, Charles Kurault or Dan Rather was saying ... even after people knew what journalism was about, it was easier just to play along ... just like it's easier to watch a few minutes of NFL or college football highlights rather than come up with genuinely interesting topics of conversation.

Well ... yeah ... when it comes to news, entertainment, food items and other things, it's kind of an understatement to say that Americans as a rule are really good at just swallowing. Maybe we don't want genuinely interesting conversation.

Dad, like me, had more experience than he wanted in the realm of intelligence, some really dark ops, possibly criminal by some standards and a tidy little write-up with typos, bad grammar and missing words that would make propaganda fit for an official press release ... something carefully typed up on a bad typewriter, composed in formal bureaucratese, to make the story look like a factual report.

Dad passed away before ever taking part in social media (ie, he never even really wanted to email, although I did get him to read a few emails once). But Dad was enough of a product of the Orwellian doublespeak and scientific intelligence operations of the mid 1950s that he would have agreed with me that fact checkers are sign that we have gone around the last bend in a downward spiral.

{NOTE: The reason that I know this about my father is not exactly what he told me when I was growing up; it is MOSTLY that I was recruited/hired by a man who worked with my father in the 1950s and then, after taking that Oath to support and defend the Constitution, I worked for two men who had worked for my father. We were ALL deeply conscientious public servants ... ALL religious, people of sincere Christian faith ... we ALL knew why people like us had to do what we had to do. We have no illusions whatsoever about wars ever being a matter of good guys vs bad guys ... and we survived because of our capacity to be bad guys. Don't wave your flag and tell me that we're the good guys. We get to wave that flag because our side won. This time.}

Anyone with our background understands why fact checkers are, by the very nature of their existence a sign that the truth no longer matters to people ... what people want is something that they tell themselves is the truth. By PORTRAYING themselves as the final arbiters of what is factual, fact checkers are necessarily engaging in deception [even if it is regurgitated self-deception] ... but that deception is there because the public is clamoring for it.

The real truth is ALWAYS multi-faceted, even at the time it is happening ... and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS extremely susceptible to careful editing and manipulative advocacy ... this is something that we learn BEFORE we even learn language.

As we learn language, we humans get better and better at lying ... some go into lying as a serious profession ... lawyers, for example, necessarily must be LIARS; a good lawyer has to be capable of using lies or else that lawyer will get completely out-lawyered, ie out-lied. This is necessarily what we demand from different specialists ... for example, military special ops teams necessarily must be fully capable of BEING killers -- they HAVE TO BE ready to kill, without any stammering. So must police officers, but that escalation of force is perhaps, in some ways, even tougher and especially difficult with a world of smartphones where pretty much everyone has access to the world-class videography tools to out-Reifinstahl Leni Reifenstahl. {NOTE: Of course, the Ukrainians are not sophisticated enough know how to edit video ... propaganda video just occurs in America and it's always done by the other side... our side would never do this.}

Yeah ... well ... that kind of nastiness is just the way it HAS TO WORK.

Another example, if you have not thought of 100 already ... would involve way that gynecologist or surgeons who operate on womens breasts must be capable of physical actions and intimate communications about pain/pleasure that would otherwise generally be viewed as adulterous.

Deep down all humans are capable of more than you can imagine that they are capable of. Don't be shocked. The Holocaust SHOULD HAVE shocked everyone. But the shock didn't stick.

We're capable of WORSE now. Fortunately, though, we are also capable of generally living our lives much better ... we ARE capable of nastiness...and, because of that perhaps, we are capable of much better, ie never trust some psychotic asshole who claims to be a pacifist ... he will hire his friend, Heinrich, the nice chicken coop man to run the SS and run it efficiently.

It is all a matter of context ... the people who work in these realms understand full well how easy it is to cross the line without ever facing the consequences for having crossed that line.

The only IDIOTS are people who believe something like a fantasy that lawyers would never lie or that journalists must tell the truth. Thus, we have factcheckers to allow IDIOTS to weaponize themselves in their circles of friends and family members...behaving as the "informed citizen," an especially dangerous and ARROGANT version of the useful pawn always used by authoritarian despots ...

The FACT of the matter is
... and ever since we had a POTUS who actually said, out loud, that truth here all depends upon what the meaning of "is" is ... that everyone's "facts" should no longer be assumed to be all that stubborn. We're ALL liars now ... especially when we tell ourselves that we would never lie [like that].

The cat is out of the bag ... Santa Claus isn't real ... and facts can be whatever they can be proven to be, in the court of public lynchings, maski mandates and mandatory vax policies for a sketchy pharmaceutical "therapy" that was never really a vax but the definition was changed to make it a vax.

So ... this all means ... fact checkers and the idiots who use them are proof of the ridiculousity of supra-democratic, post-orwellian dystopia we live in.

So that ... and maybe my interest in semiotics .... is why I am writing this factual history of my involvement in intelligence operations. I assure you that most of it is indeed very true ... and if you have a sufficient security clearance you will understand exactly why the basic gist of this story is absolutely true, frank and honest ... ish ... ๐Ÿคจ ... well, yeah, "honestish" would be a better word for it.
