  • Monero Payment gateways Gateways part 3 Proposer is busy creating Mastering Monero 2.0
  • Three Months of Translation Coordination netrik has mentioned publicly that he has not claimed the milestone but continues to work here - contacted him to clarify / get paid for work done if the hours have been worked.
  • SolOptXMR - Solar Optimal mining of XMR
    • 16:24:25 Hey everyone - just a quick update on SolOptXMR: I'm pretty close to finishing Milestone 2, and mj has already completed most of his work for M3+M4 already, so after that it's pretty much just my part of M3+M4 left. Unfortunately there have been some delays on my part (had some personal stuff to deal with in the last few months), so I doubt that I'll be able to finish my part in time for the original deadline, but rest assured that I (we) intend to
    • working relationship between endor/mj 'broken'
    • dev tax removed / endor can finish the project without mj
    • Endorxmr has been actively working on the project
  • 36C3 Supplies 50% is paid out - blocked until invoices are provided from RIAT
    • rehrar has tried unsuccessfully to get the invoices from matt. i'm trying again (ive sent an enquiry emial 20230430 https://riat.at/matthias-tarasiewicz/)
    • reply from RIAT received. they had an internal meeting about it. issue being their "bookkeeping is in another part of Austria" so it will take time for them to gather the info 20230619
    • waiting on follow up reply still 20230818

ccs-wip-list's Issues

German translation of Monero Means Money (subtitles) and Sound Money, Safe Mode (subtitles) - 9.9XMR

  • Approve the translations so they display on the videos.
  • Agree that the proposal has been abandoned long enough
  • Close it
  • Decide what to do with the remaining funds

Some details:
Delay in ccs payout was through no fault of the proposer, simply hasn't 'been reviewed'
https://ccs.getmonero.org/proposals/wobole-german-translation-subtitles.html

  • The translation work has been done, literally just needs to be reviewed.
  • I have now been contacted by 2 people who agree that the translations are OK / good enough
  • One of these persons has suggested a plan of action
- get his translations applied, overwriting anything that is existing (there are some translation live on youtube which are german, but weird german, I don't think those are his, not verified yet)
- rewatch the vid with translation, to catch the worst errors
- officially close the proposal
- say sorry it took so long
- offer a "pick up" period of 12months

After this pick up period the funds are 'dispersed' e.g. to the GF. They then advised that future proposers put clauses in their proposals, like i have done with my own e.g. 'untimely death clause / 5 months no contact / if the entire thing is not completed in 12 months'

xmrSale Payment Processor Development - 30XMR

  • Agree that the proposal has been abandoned long enough
  • Close it
  • Decide what to do with the remaining funds

Details to follow:
https://github.com/xmrsale/xmrSale 10 months last commit
https://xmrsale.org/ site has lost some functionality (donate example) signs of nobody home?
https://ccs.getmonero.org/proposals/xmrsale-2021.html history of going missing for several months shown in the comments

Current state of paymentGateways:
https://monerica.com/#merchant-services

my suggestion is to put the funds toward AcceptXMR - why and what? i will have to justify this but briefly,

  • community member who has contributed already to the ecosystem / created a similar project but with advantages
  • the main milestones of XMRsale have been achieved
  • it is now abandonware and fell behind the project it was forked from.
  • xmrSale is using monero-wallet-rpc (AND javascript) which is not the most reliable thing for using a remote node with
  • acceptxmr is NOT using blockexporer api. it can be pointed at any remote node. it does NOT use monero-wallet-rpc but instead its own rpc calls implemented here (viewkey/primary address only)
  • written in 'Rust' - our chance to support a none cpp developer in the ecosystem
  • acceptxmr can work with/without javascript

I must discuss the possibility of this with BusyBoredom (what we can get for 30XMR) - and the end result must be equal to what xmrsale provides OR better with some maintenance built in e.g. 80/20 split 24 xmr for tasks and 6 for maintenance

Archive Monero Github code on a self-host onion instance and sia network - 0.2XMR

  • Agree that the proposal has been abandoned long enough
  • Close it
  • Decide what to do with the remaining funds

link to the proposal

Some details:

  • 1.3 was paid upfront and the service was online for only a few weeks
  • confirmed offline since at least 20221106
  • After looking into the 'Sia network' it is not actually censorship resistant per this tw*tter thread
  • The process involves buying Siacoins(?) and paying fees with them more info here
  • IMO this ccs was a none starter, considering the trust involved of hosting the 'one source' of truth, combined with the Sia network not actually censorship resistant - but it was popular as it came right after the tornado cash incident.
  • Because i consider this a "none starter" AND the remaining amount is so low - i am confident in saying that 'we got scammed' so im asking for the community to quickly resolve this CCS.

Monero Payment gateways Gateways part 3 - 11XMR

  • Contact SerHack to discuss if the milestones of the CCS remain unchanged.
  • Find someone who can work with SerHack to finish the CCS and claim the funds.

I suggest if no one can be found then the ccs be closed / funds donated into a bounty with updated or the same criteria.

SerHack has been active and has become busy with other things such as Mastering Monero 2.0

  • SerHack: "my CCS is still opened, if anyone wants to take the bounty for improving and implementing the features I planned, go ahead and contact me."
