After watching your YouTube Video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaYlhE_EEyA which is AWESOME! I followed the steps from here: https://github.com/piwi3910/techtalk/tree/master/Docker_series/07 which is even more AWESOME! I set my parameters pertaining to my network. Script and setup worked perfectly. However now Pi-Hole container is in a endless loop. It keeps immediately restarting over and over. I unchecked the box in: Synology --> Docker App --> Container --> pi-hole --> Edit --> General Settings --> Enable auto-restart. Now it starts up but immediately stops. Any help would be great.

Macvlan works well in LAN. But not inside the Diskstation terminal and so it's not useable with VPN Server package (e.g. OpenVPN)

Cannot ping the IP (or reach services), when in terminal of Diskstation.
Cannot ping the IP (or reach services), when connected from outside via VPN Server (e.g. OpenVPN)

Refferring to 07 Pi-hole on Synology Docker

Hi. You are missing a " in the hostname line. Please update. Thank you.

When using no --hostname parameter in docker run, the hostname becomes a random numer and is not easyly changeable after creating container.

Please put a line into docker run parameters in https://github.com/piwi3910/techtalk/tree/master/Docker_series/07#starting-pi-hole

e.g.
--hostname "pihole" \

I have been following along with your video here and have run into an issue.

Once the stack is up and running, I can curl the web page from the docker manager, but when trying to get to the interface on the docker manager's [IP address]:9000 as you did in the video, I find myself unable to get to the page. My browser simply hangs until it times out waiting on the connect.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My Pi-Hole works perfectly from my LAN and other VLANs.

My only problem is my Synology can't see my PiHole (no ping and no nslookup).
So my Synology can't use Pi-Hole and I can't use Pi-Hole integration in Home Assistant.

It looks like is due to the macvlan. I find this tutorial:

But I wasn't hable to apply it over your setup.

• Stop the docker
• Add the pi-hole bridge
• Edit the pi-hole docker inside the docker synology interface but network tab isn't present

It's possible to use this solution ? Or you know a other way?
