Need the ability to supply a custom spacing value to either the python code or the OpenSCAD script. Also would be nice to be able to alter the "space" width (which is for right now based on the width of the "x" character.

Some method to automatically connect segments of letters that would otherwise have no connection. Examples are "i" and the negative space of letters like "o" and "a".

Once OpenSCAD gets better native string support, need the ability to supply an arbitrary string to be processed.
