It's like Photon, just better

Started as a remix of MaterialFox and QuietFox, the current goal of this userChrome style is to make Firefox interface smoother, more consistent and theme-adaptive. After Proton redesign came in, this style also tends to be a mix of old and new UIs with additional features and tweaks.

The idea behind this style is to keep Proton UI clarity and simplicity while re-implementing nice and unique Photon's icons and general look & feel.

Keep in mind this style is modular, you can easily enable/disable almost everything you want!

1. Make sure you're using Mozilla Firefox 96 or newer
2. Download the latest build from Code > Download ZIP and extract folder rainfox-master
3. Go to about:profiles, find your profile, open root folder and create a folder chrome inside of it. If the folder already exists, wipe all its content
4. Move everything from rainfox-master to chrome (not the folder itself!)
5. Now open about:config and change these keys to true:
   • toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets (enables userChrome stylesheets)
   • layout.css.color-mix.enabled (allows color-mixes, used for context menus hover and active states)
   • svg.context-properties.content.enabled (allows SVG icons use theme colors)
6. [optionally] If you want your HTTPS connection icon to be green, set this key to false:
   • security.secure_connection_icon_color_gray
7. Restart Firefox. PROFIT!

1. Icons may not scale properly if you're using non-100% scaling
2. Some icon animations are partially broken (workin' on it)
3. Bookmarks bar may work incorrectly when drag'n'dropping stuff
