Watch for "destroyOnReturn" from stream.iterator

Feature Request

This lib for most use-cases could be replaced with the experimental stream.iterator function

https://nodejs.org/dist/latest-v17.x/docs/api/stream.html#readableiteratoroptions

When that happens it's good to rethink what are the reasons someone would use this library and focus on that in the development
