so why VLC? it has so awful V/A codec's ..at least quality wise (maybe not in quantity)....and other things... Was it because VLC was easier to implement?

I would have rather used MPV backend...I know that their API's aren't yet that good, but if you wan't feature rich player and want to use mpv, I would recommend bomi-player's implementation, bomi is not a front end, it's more of a fork

if you have time plz. check/try bomi-player out, unfortunately the dev had to take sabbatical with the project (don't know for how long)...I know that at least chakraOS made bomi as their main video player for their first plasma5 (ISO) release.

I'm trying to build liri-player, but the link to the vlc lib seems to be broken, and I don't know how to fix.
The build is succesfull, but when I run I got the error message indicating that the libvlc couldn't be loadded: http://pastebin.com/Xc1cXLUT

I'm running on a Mac OSX 10.10.5 and I see in the .pro file the reference to the vlc lib directory.

Any idea? :(
