pibooth-extra-lights's Issues

Use more than 1 GPIO

use more than 1 GPIO per light
I have a relay, and i want LED with external power to. It works fine on my breadboard, but not in my circuit board.
Would it be possible to have GPIO, like flash_led_pin = (7, 15) or something, to run 2 GPIO on the same funktion

usb ring light

hey i have your plugin working with gpio pin for flash which is fantastic but the lights i picked are to bright and now i wanna see if there is a way to use usb with the plugin as i have a usb ring light which would be perfect but its usb and your plugin uses gpio pins any ideas ? cheers tinni

Preview LED always ON

After starting pibooth Preview LED is always on. looks like same function of startup LED

[enhancement] Add Time variable to flash

Hi,
First, thanks you so much for you're Job ! This plugin is very usefull for using pibooth indoor !
I have a little problem in my case !
My conf is Pi 4 &Canon PowerShoot G10

The problem is the flash stay on 5 seconds (I suppose it's time need G10 camera for switch to preview mode at photo mode)
The little problem is the people don't now when smile and flash burn eyes...
Can we add variable delay before start flash and how much time stay on ?
I now it's not usual solution but I suppose that all camera it's different so it's can be a easy solution for developper ?

Thanks you

merci

Flash Don't Work

Hello,

I am a beginner

I installed Pibooth 2.07 on my raspberry pi 3 with Buster and I mounted a 220v to 12v converter to put a GU5.3 LED as a flash with a 5v relay module.
I encounter a problem with the flash when taking a capture with the "extra-light" plugin. When launching pibooth and the "extra-light" script, the flash shutdown, but during the shooting sequence, the flash does not work.

Here is my setup.
Schema Flash.pdf

I have correctly configured the correct pin 33 in the config file.

Where can my mistake come from?

Thanks for your help.

Environment

  • OS [Raspbian Buster]
  • Camera [Raspberry Camera v2]
  • Pibooth version [2.0.7]

the new update with high/low is working fine, but...

Hey, @anxuae i just testet the new update with high/low, and it is working fine.
(it was not in the pip install yet).

I do have a little trouble with adding the same pin number to both "preview_led_pin and flash_led_pin", at the same time. I use this from time to time, when my pibooth is setup in a dark room. That way the users can better see themself thrue the preview also. I did found out that the preview also work under the flash stage, so using preview as the flash is the workaround for this most of the time.

Only problem is, if i simetimes has 2 defferent lights, 1 for preview (a smal sign), and 1 for flash, and i also want the sign to be on at startup stage.
