phosphorstandardlibrary's Introduction

Build

The Phosphor Standard Library

The standard library for the Phosphor programming language.

External Dependencies

You need the following present on your system to compile the standard library:

Compilation

To compile the standard library you only need to run the build script with the target as parameter:

./build.sh <target>

For example Linux on Amd64:

./build.sh linuxAmd64

You can get an overview over all possible targets with help:

./build.sh --help

After that, the standard library file standardLibrary.a and the header files can be found in the bin/<target> folder.

Add and emit header files

Now that the compiler supports the "external" keyword and import statements, the standard library should actually provide header files for the exposed functions.

While in the far future (when the standard library will be written in Phosphor) the header files should be generated from the source files automatically, for now it would be enough to write them by hand and copy them to the output directory at build time.
