Fakemail¶ ↑

• Small utility to debug/inspect email output from your Rails/Sinatra/Merb app.

• Stores each email as 2 files: headers and content.

• Both text and html formats are supported.

Installation¶ ↑

Clone repository and copy fakemail into /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin folder. Change exec permissions if needed.

cp fakemail /usr/local/bin/fakemail
chmod +x /usr/local/bin/fakemail

Usage¶ ↑

# RAILS_ROOT/config/environments/development.rb
config.action_mailer.delivery_method = :sendmail 
config.action_mailer.sendmail_settings = {:location => "/usr/local/bin/fakemail"}

Restart app, and its ready to go.
