Mario Kart Mod Manager & Retro Rewind Auto Updater

Wheel Wizard, our mod manager, is created for the sole purpose of convenience. Technically, these mods and Retro Rewind are all doable without this app, but this app makes it possible with just a few clicks. It still has a lot of features in the planning stage and is fully in development, so keep an eye out for updates.

Free and Open Source

Wheel Wizard was made by patchzy and wanttobeeme. This application is completely free to use. You can go to the latest releases and download the executable there. Once installed, the app will automatically notify you when updates are available.

Antivirus Warning

False Positive Detections

Some antivirus software, including Windows Defender, may incorrectly flag Wheel Wizard as a virus or trojan. This is a common issue with new software releases and is known as a "false positive." Rest assured, Wheel Wizard is safe to use.

The inconsistency in these detections (e.g., being labeled as both a "virus" and a "trojan") further indicates that these are likely false positives.

What You Can Do

Ensure you're using the latest version of Wheel Wizard, as we continually work to address these issues.
If you encounter a warning, you can submit the Wheel Wizard executable to Microsoft for analysis here. This helps improve detection accuracy.
You may need to add an exception for Wheel Wizard in your antivirus software to prevent it from interfering with the application.
If you dont trust us, you may either build the program yourself (we have included a build.bat in our source code)
Or you can run the program through virustotal and see it will pass 99% of checks

Cant Connect Lobby

Hi I recently got this mod and have been enjoying it for about a week, however last night I went to search for a lobby and a just got stuck on the 'searching for opponents' screen. I thought I must require a update so I left it. I came to play today I opened wheel wizard and no update was required, I have been trying for hours to get in a lobby but to no success. I can connect to WFC fine I'm just stuck on the searching screen seeming like I will never find a lobby. its like I have been shadow banned and I cant connect to any lobby but I'm not a hacker I swear lmao. is there any reason I cant find a lobby but can still get online, and is there a way I can fix this and play because I'm itching too.

False positive Trojan Virus on download

I downloaded the latest wheel wizard file (1.2.0 WheelWizard.exe 88.2 MB) and when I run the program, my antivirus (kaspersky) catches that there is a trojan file downloaded. What the fuck dude

Extremely slow download speed when downloading Retro Rewind

When I downloaded Retro Rewind the ave speed was ~0.10 MB/s, That's slow!

Download freezes

I try installing and the downloads freezes after a while and just stops installing completely, I already tried multiple times, the application also freezes and stops working completely.

Communication Error 86420

Hi,
If i try to get online i connect to wiilink succesfully, i appear in rooms but i only get Error 86420. i know it has something to do with my Router but i am not allowed to switch settings in it. I get the same Error with a Hotspot over mobile data. What can i do? I wanna play online so bad : C

retro rewind

I downloaded retro rewind off wheelwizard after that it had to update, the update bar fully filled up but is never finishing. Any help?

Resolution

Hello, when i boot up my wheel wizard and it comes up with only 4 options of resolution and the cap is 1440p and i have a 4k monitor. Would there be a way to have an option for 4k?

installing then not installing

download everything, and i get to a point where the retro rewind update bar is full but not going away so i close it assuming it was a glitch
main page says it needs to update
when i click it, it says rewind isnt installed, then says that it IS installed
nothing changes and it still says it needs to update

some options are covered by the taskbar

some options are covered by the taskbar, i using win11, so i cannot move the position of the taskbar, the github, discord, ko-fi options and some rooms and players in the player list(of the room) are covered.

Crash when trying to download Retro Rewind

When I attempt to download Retro Rewind, the program fails (And crashes). I checked my game ISO and Dolphin executable, but it doesn't seem to be the problem. Is there any solution to this?

Crash on launch of mii creator or it doesnt received input

Hi, I can play fine the retro rewind, i've configured my controller everything is ok but when launching mii creator it's either it freeze on the first frame of "thank you for downloading" or it's because no input is taken by it but either why i'm stuck on the first frame

The game no longer wants to launch

After launching WheelWizard and pressing the play button to start retro rewind, nothing launches again and WheelWizars closes every time. I don't know if I'm the only one in this case but did you know how I can fix this problem please?

i get a error message when i try to wfc 20900

App quits when saving directories for setup

trying to set the path to the MkWii ISO and Dolphin and when I hit to save the app simply turns off. When I turn it on again it asks for the same stuff as if it didn't save. the ISO is on a folder on my desktop and Dolphin is in my program files, is there a certain location they have to be in for WW to read it and not die?
