On some panels '0' need to be replaced by 'a'. You can try.

This used to work with 0s until I (as the original post states) I was forced to change both PanelID and PC password by BabyWare. After that, I no longer was able to authenticate no matter what.
I will do a complete SP7700 factory reset and restore form backup to solve this, luckily I do have one.

Try to change password again and do not use '0'. Will PAI connect? And what is your EVO192 firmware version?

I don't want to experiment with changing the codes any further after spending 3+ hours recovering after the factory reset today :)
My installation was done sometime in 2010, the system is Spectra SP7000 v4.56.060
