APNdroid for HTC Tattoo

I'd love to see APNdroid for the HTC Tattoo.
I guess, APNdroid would have to work with the lower resolution of the
Tattoo display, if that's at all possible.

1. Turn off 3G/EDGE/GPRS
2. Enable MMS

I sent an MMS (a small picture) to 2 different numbers on different networks.

Remove notification?

I was thinking about removing the notification that appears in the notification
toolbar.

It provides the same information as widget (on/off state). I also occupies that
area for pretty long
time and several users wanted to remove it.

Or maybe we can think about removing all wording form notification and keep
only icon?
Any ideas?

Request for APN switch API ignores default notification config

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. configure APNDroid to disable state notifications

com.google.code.apndroid.intent.action.CHANGE_REQUEST with only
TARGET_APN_STATE parameter

APN state changed without notification bar status icon displayed.
However I see that notification icon is still displayed when state is
changed through API, nevertheless it does not displayed upon manual change
through widget

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

RFE: Timer for open data access

This is not an issue. Just an Request for enhancement (RFE).

I'll like to set a timer in minutes, so when I open connection, after N
minutes the data access is automatically closed.

This will allow open data access, but if I doesn't remember to close it,
APNdroid does it for me automatically.

APNdroid does not disable 3g

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Toggle internet access
2. Internet disconnects, wait 3 seconds
3. 3g is up again even after set to 'off'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I was using APNdroid before, unfortunately i had to perform a factory reset
on my phone. After reset and installing this app it doesnt really matter
which option i check, enabling/disabling all mms's doesnt work either -
internet is up all the time, with 5 seconds break when changing apn
address.

I checked the APN manually, and it looks like it should, with apndroid
added after the apn address, yet the 3g connection after a brief moment
(about 5 seconds) comes back online, even though it still has 'apndroid'
added in apn name.

I am afraid i am not the only one affected, as i found a comment on android
market - stating that after factory reset APNdroid does not work as
intended, problem being same as mine.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I am using version 2.0.1, on android 1.6

Please provide any additional information below.

APNdroid worked without even smallest problem until factory reset, perhaps
theres something i need to change/check in phone settings itself?

1. Open APN Droid

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Current APN in use should be displayed. No information on currently used

The on/off status bar indicator and widget are not working correctly in v2.0 r10 with Locale (don't change status)

APNDroid 2.0 r10

1. Set a situation in Locale which disables 3G
2. Switch on the situation
3. Both the status bar indicator and the widget are still on, and they
should be off.

Btw, I prefer the old way to switch on/off apndroid from the desktop, with
the icon. I really dislike the widget switch in the desktop ;) It's really
necessary a widget? It's not more battery consuming? What version of the
product are you using? On what operating system?

Truncates APN when manually edited

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Launch APNDroid, turn OFF 3G/EDGE/GPRS.

2. Go to Setting->Wireless controls->Mobile networks->Access Point Names.

3. Tap the first configured APN and then tap APN to change the APN.

4. Remove "apndroid" from the tail of the APN.

5. Go back to APNDroid and turn ON 3G/EDGE/GPRS.

6 . Go back to the settings screen above.

What is the expected output?

I expected that APNDroid would only delete the text "apndroid" if it were
actually present at the end of the APN.

What do you see instead?

APNDroid deleted the last 8 characters of the actual APN. For example,
"epc.tmobile.com" was mangled into "epc.tmo".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

8, Android 1.6 (Cyanogenmod-4.2.15.1)

Please provide any additional information below.

When turning the APNs back on. APNDroid should check to see that "apndroid"
is still at the end. This bug would also be annoying if someone added an
APN during the time when APNDroid had 3G/EDGE/GPRS turned off.

Here is one way to do it:

String restored_apn = current_apn.replace("apndroid", "");

Widget should react immediately to touch

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Touch the widget

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The widget should change to reflect that it has registered a touch. When I
touch the widget, nothing happens until the process is completed, which can
be 2 seconds or more. It's very frustrating when I think I haven't selected
it properly, press it again, only for it to go from green back to red.
Particularly since the touch footprint of the widget seems to be slightly
smaller than the other shortcuts and widgets onscreen.

Perhaps have an intermediate colour between red and green that's displayed
as soon as a touch is registered, or "grey out" the icon between changes,
or change the size of the icon slightly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
APNDroid 2.0.1 on Android 1.5

Sometimes does not work

What steps will reproduce the problem?

2. Turn off connections. It works, no connections. Apn's are modified.
3. Turn on connections (by widget or by application icon, it's the same).
