It's so cool to see a new tool for PSO in 2023! There has been quite a revival lately with people getting their Dreamcasts online and such. One feature from PSO days that sadly has disappeared entirely from the web is the screenshot processor. In PSO you could take a screenshot, it would be saved on your VMU (it would take up an entire VMU! People would have multiple VMUs just for documenting their progress), load up the Dreamcast browser, and go to the official PSO website where you could upload the file and it would convert it to a jpeg for you to post online to document your journeys.

Is there anyway you could maybe create parser to rip the bitmap data out of the save file that gets created when you take a screenshot? If so it would be super cool to see this feature come back! Dreamcast hacking websites like bswirl and others also could parse out the screenshot, but they sadly have all went down in the like 2005. I attached a zip with a VMS screenshot I took in case you decide to take a crack at it and need a sample vms file.
