I don't know what else to say. All the buttons work, the debug tab shows the lyrics, there's no signs of it being broken in the console (I think), it just doesn't send to my Discord profile.

But, some of the console log anyway.

Hi, I wanted to know if it's possible to create an executable out of this. Because when we minimize the browser, the synchronization between Tampermonkey and Discord becomes slow, taking a long time to update the lyrics. And we have to keep the browser open as the primary screen.

When using the {song_name} tag remove any character that comes past a space-dash-space (" - "), doing this will get rid of the ugly "YEAR REMASTER" in the title. Doing it not appear as:

"cool lyrics, EPIC SONG - 2003 REMASTER"

and instead just

"cool lyrics, EPIC SONG"

On Tampermonkey v5.0.1 (Chrome) it reported 2 errors of eslint on Line 13
eslint: no-undef - "$" is not defined.
eslint: no-eval - eval can be harmful.

Due to these errors the script cannot be enabled and thus no lyrics are shown on Discord status.

Can you find a way to filter the Explicit words out of the status?

Since Spotify is able to sort songs by Genre and Mood, it'd be cool to be able to display that in the custom status. If a song has multiple genres, you'd probably want to display just 1 primary genre, but I'm not sure how you'd decide which genre that is.

Would it be possible to make a version for the desktop apps? I find that even going to a different tab in my browser basically negates the functionality of lyrics-status, making it a slightly annoying issue to use any other app/tab. Would be nice to have a plugin or something similar to get better results when generally using your computer

Yo OvalQuilter, in a response to Spotifys recent pricing changes and abandonment of Car Thing, I've started using foobar2000 with my media and have set up a synced lyrics component that got me thinking- it uses MusixMatch to grab and sync the lyrics, so theoretically a component could be made to use these lyrics and send them to my discord status, right? I was hoping to get in contact with you over something like Discord to see how a script like this could be achieved, if that was alright

anyway to keep an emoji with the status running?

add a text box where you can set a specific format for how the lyrics are displayed on your status

example: "🎶 {timestamp} {songname} - {lyrics}🎶"

some extra tags you could add: {timestampnobrackets}, {songname}, {lyricslowercase}, {lyricsuppercase}, {songnameuppercase}, {songnamelowercase}, {songartist}, {songartistlowercase}, {songartistuppercase}

I've been getting error code 502 randomly and have to turn it on manually every time it happens. Do anyone know why?
