We never indicated what the final design was going to be. According to the job description, we need a clear indication of what it should be.

Was talking with @LivVitale and @beaversoft16 over Slack and we thought it might be a good idea to design some way to show users a simple notification of their actions on the screen. Obviously these messages can't come from the server, so @LivVitale mentioned toastr for simple, easy to develop client side notifications.

@beaversoft16 mentioned he could get this up.

@LivVitale mentioned that when using the placeShip() function on the client side, the scan() function is being called as well.

The original design or "view" was very column biased. For our 16:9 environment, a more horizontal approach would eliminate the need for scrolling, and consolidate everything to a nice widescreen layout.

Ideally we would have the boards on one side of the screen, taking up most of the view, and the controls taking up the remaining space. If there is any room left over, we might be able to squeeze in extra styling or graphics.

scan seems to be getting called when placing ships.
