Where can i find the application log? It really helps a lot in debugging especially in production mode.
I skimmed over the codes and couldn't find an instance of logging.
This seems to create some conflict later on when creating course periods. For example, I could not create a Homeroom Attendance course period with an error Teacher not available while the teacher only had a course period for period 1 which is right after as shown above.
Another issue that came up is when participants try to do "Group Scheduling" by clicking the submit to show student list, it returns with a blank page (Attached). So for this, we will have to skip this exercise.
Not urgent. But it would be better if the user would not have to fill up the whole form with data every time a single data does not meet the validation rules. See below as example. The user must re-enter all student data jut because a password was already used.
There is a problem with the assign date when doing a teacher re-assignment. I enter the date using the calendar for August 28, 2018 and when it is saved it is saying August 18, 2028. I suspect it is a date format issue but I'm not an expert. In the picture I stimply entered the assign date again so you can compaire the entered format to the saved format. Thanks for the hard work you put into this!
Attached screenshot. Most of the time it is working. But for some users they were consistently getting this issue. Two of those users were using Safari browser. Changing to latest Chrome seems to have fixed the problem. But this is clearly a bug.
Teachers with multiple grade periods are only able to set weighted grades for one of the course periods. In all the other course periods, even if the "weighted grades" option is checked in configuration, when they go to add assignment types or edit assignment types, the field for setting the weight and seeing the total percentage of the weights does not show up. However, in the progress reports, the column for "Weight" shows 0%. It seems like there might be something wrong with the add assignments page.
An extremely important feature for the adoption of this system in our context. All principals and teachers expressed a need for this feature to be willing to use the system.
This should be an excel sheet with all the minimal set of required data following a strict template for an initial student creation. All data for each record in the upload should be validated with proper error feedback to user uploaded the excel spreadsheet.
I activated in one course the “Weight grades” option in the general settings after I had already created assignment types and assignments and even given grades and final grades. Since the “Weight Percent” setting did not show up for the assignment types, I deleted all given grades. When it still did not show up, I deleted all the assignments and tried to delete the assignment types as well. However, openSIS would not allow me to delete the assignment types, since the system reports that it cannot delete assignment types because assignments are created in this assignment type. But this is actually not the case. This is the assignment type that I want to delete and it has no assignments anymore.
Would it be possible for the drop down list to show the assignments by date assigned rather than the time it was made? It would make things more convenient for teachers.

I am having the following issue -- admins (even superuser) cannot edit past attendance. I tried Teacher Programs -> Take Attendance and Teacher Programs - > Missing Attendance, none of which worked.
When clicking find staff within a school without check marking "Search all schools" it seems to show all the staff created by others in other schools. We assumed it should only display staff created within that school
Some times some staffs were created and not shown when clicking Submit with not search criteria. This led to users creating same staff multiple times.
Could you add "Back to user list" or "Deselect" button in User - Teacher Program - Take attendance?
I have to go back to home and deselect and click all the above menus again to change user.

When I enter the following test password I get the feedback that it is invalid. Changing any characters turns the validation feedback into Good. Also, for some users the same password is shown as invalid while other users can have a feedback of "Good". The password validation is not working well. Also refer to #2
I recently started using openSIS 7.0 community edition. I went through all tutorials to from setting up school, create subject, course and course period; i also set up grade levels, grading scales and added students to a specific grade.
To be more specific
I created a grade 1 level
I created a teacher staff
I added a student and enrolled them in grade 1
Created semesters 1,2,3 for the FY 2018 which runs from 8th Jan to 5th Dec 2018
Created a subject Language, Course English and course period for the teacher and course which uses the Main grading scale for marking period of Semester 3 (runs from 1st to 5th December) on a fixed schedule.
Issue
On teacher's portal: Teacher cannot enter Final grades as there are no students for the course that the teacher was assigned. My logic is teacher-course assignment is done during course period setup
(HELP NEEDED).
Student cannot see their course, schedule and Progress report as it seems they are registered for Grade 1 but no course was assigned to them.
Please help to understand the setup process or if there is anything i missed.

can install opensis upto were it says login page after that it just shows url localhost/opensis/index.php and the whole browser screen is white and blank. I am using bitnami wamp php version 7 everything seemed fine upto when clicking login button. I tried dofferent brwosers but same thing, PHP max execution time 3600 but nothing worked i left it overnight to see if it would load but it wouldnt. I have used bitnami 5.6 & 7.1 thats upto were i can only see blankscreen after clicking login and on Xampp i used 5.6 & 7.1 and i can only go to creating database then balnk screen shows up)
Even if marking periods semesters were not checked marked as graded with post grade dates they are still available for selection in the course period marking. That seems odd.
But valid data should have a feedback with a consistent color of green (or some other primary color informative color). Below a Username OK is returned in red. Red should be reserved for invalid data feedback. And maybe orange for things in the middle in acceptable but not ideal (e.g. a weak password).
In the workshop we have faced this issue. When other participants add students using other participants names, somehow it seem like it over-rides the participant user we created from super admin to teacher.
Lets say Weison and David are participants with super admin. When David start adding staff and he adds Weison name as a teacher, somehow it change Weison's profile from super admin to teacher. When Weison log's in again Weison can't access other sections since now Weison is a teacher.
This is a bug that needs urgently to be addressed. It is not an uncommon scenario that staff will be added with same name.
