I would like to see a feature added to pass the old state as an argument when firing the subscribed events. I have created an implementation (that is honestly pretty bad, but works) however, I think a better one could be made. Consider merging mine if you think it is sufficient or adding this yourself.

my code looks like this :

if (readFromLocal("defaultConfig") === null) {
console.log("Setting runningConfig to globalDefaultConfig");
runningConfig.setState(globalDefaultConfig);
}

As far as I can tell the state is set successfully as I am able to then access the state using the getState method.

It is a very practical library to handle javascript files with states, but I see that it has been abandoned?
