chunk-weather-v2.0's Issues

Weather not working

Hello,

along with many other watchfaces I suspect weather is no longer working. Can you give it a try and see if it's fixable? Cheers

Currently shows only 999°

Hello There,

i'm not sure if this is a known issue. I faced this many times but after a while the 999° went away. It's not a few hours it's not updating the time.

Do you know if that's a problem on your side or mine?

Battery indicator

Terry Davis has suggested a nice subtle battery indicator.

I was thinking that battery level would be great addition, but the trick would be doing without messing up your very clean screen. Most apps place a little battery icon with the usual fill to indicate battery status, but I find those kinda ugly.

Here is what I had in mind:

low

full

The in between levels would be more or less dots accordingly.

This might only work with the display mode as I have it configured here (and yes, I did recompile the source to spell out the day of week and remove the month – just my personal preferences at work), but it does the job and is unobtrusive.

Location lock

Ability to specify a fixed location, rather than rely on GPS

last weather update time

If I could make another suggestion, it would be to have an option to display either the low/high temps or the location/time of the last weather update.

Date formats

Would you consider more date formats like 4/23/14

9

The digit 9 is a bit taller that the rest.

Zero degrees

Howdy… I've got a bit of an odd one with Chunk Weather 2.0. I'm currently stuck at 999 degrees, however, I do have a valid high/low showing up, which leads me to believe my Pebble is correctly connected to HTTP. Any chance you don't handle 0 degrees correctly? This is the first time it's actually been zero degrees here.

Unfortunately it didn't seem to quite work. It initially gave me 999C, LOW -1 HIGH 1, which was the same as before.

I decided to flip to F to confirm I am getting a temperature reading (I am, 32F, which is 0C), then I switched back and it went to 0C. Great! Except that after playing with another app and switching back, it reverted to 999C (but again, did fill in the LOW/HIGH after a few moments, while the 999C remained)

Now it's remotely possible that I didn't install correctly, I've not sideloaded anything since the Pebble 2.0 update, but the file loaded from Dropbox, the watchface switched on the Pebble and then it seemed to switch back when I went into the config, so I assume that this means it updated... But if this is a potential failure point, let me know and I'll delete it completely and re-install from Dropbox.

Hmm, it switched to 0C on it's own, and then back to 999C after using another app.

Could it be that the automatic refresh works, but the startup poll doesn't recognize 0?

Just a shot in the dark.

If it helps, the location is "Kelowna BC Canada, V1V 2B4"

http://ca.weather.yahoo.com/canada/british-columbia/kelowna-9861/

(In case you can simulate the location, or whatever)

Bluetooth disconnected vibration

im using your chunk weather watch face with my iphone5s its looks good but when i turn off bluetooth it doesnt vibrate while other watch faces with disconnection alarm support doing well i prefer your design so i wish vibration working well and smaller 'day-date-month' line would look sleeker

Celsius/fahrenheit doesn't switch immediately

Toggling the celsius/fahrenheit switch doesn't update the watch face like all of the other options. It is only updated after switching to another watch face and then back again. Using Pebble 2.0 software and firmware on iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4.
