Hi! Do you know if the conversion utility still works on the 2021 dump? I'm running
java -jar orcid-conversion-lib-3.0.7-full.jar -t -i 30999482 -o 30999482.json.tar.gz
on Amazon Linux with
openjdk version "1.8.0_302"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_302-b08)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.302-b08, mixed mode)
and getting the error messsage
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: file name 'ORCID_2021_10_activities_1/021/0000-0001-6869-2021/research-resources/0000-0001-6869-2021_research-resources_1769.json' is too long
Any ideas? Thanks!
Heather
I succeeded in using orcid-conversion-lib-0.0.2-full.jar to convert the ORCID summaries.tar.gz file to JSON, but it fails when I try it on any of the "activities" tar.gz files.
Here's is the command I run:
java -jar orcid-conversion-lib-0.0.2-full.jar --tarball -i ORCID_2019_activites_1.tar.gz -v v3_0rc1 -o /media/suciokhan/Data/ORCID_DUMP/orcid_2019_activites_1_JSON.tar.gz
For what appears to be every file, It gives me the following printout:
**Problem processing file 4815 1/191/0000-0003-3657-5191/works/0000-0003-3657-5191_works_15066032.xml unexpected element (uri:"http://www.orcid.org/ns/work", local:"work")**. Is there a way to convert the activities dump in JSON? The command suggested seems to work for the profiles dump only.
