Generic client instrumentation

At the moment, the only way to create a client with tracing instrumentation is to use the builder provided by this library, TracingHttpClientBuilder, which extends the HttpClientBuilder from Apache. The problem with this approach is that AsyncHttpClient cannot be instrumented at all. This builder only creates one type of client and will not support any other client.

My suggestion is to follow the precedent from the legacy Jaeger API (https://github.com/jaegertracing/legacy-client-java/blob/master/jaeger-apachehttpclient/src/main/java/com/uber/jaeger/httpclient/TracingInterceptors.java). Any builder that supports adding interceptors can be added to this class.

Parenthetically, I wish there were a generic way to handle all builders generically instead of adding each one to the class. The only solution seems to be using the java.lang.invoke package. But, that's not the approach I recommend for now.

I found that Spring Cloud Zuul will create the HttpRequestWrapper from BasicHttpRequest which is not an instance of HttpUriRequest. This causes getURI() to return null from HttpRequestWrapper causing NPE.

NPE from ApacheClientSpanDecorator

I'm seeing an NPE from this library when setting the hostname tag on a trace, I believe this only happens when the apache library is executing a retry?

The stack trace shows what is happening. I'm not sure why the url from apache would be null in the case of a retry but I don't think the library should cause the retry to explode with an NPE?

HTTP header uber-trace-id has multiple values in case Apache HTTPClient is used as underlying implementation of Spring's RestTemplate

In its default configuration, the SpecialAgent injects the uber-trace-id header into RestTemplate via the Spring Web instrumentation plugin. Later, the Apache HttpClient plugin injects a different value for the same HTTP header and request. These multiple values can lead to severe problems on the receiving end, in particular, when using the Jaeger Tracer plugin that enforces exactly one value.

An additional check in class HttpHeadersInjectAdapter should ensure that there is not already a header with the same name (but possibly different value).
