I think it is good to keep this structure of folders: it is always easier to put everything in on big file than the opposite, and, doing so, we have a clearer view of the data available

That's how I initially saw it, with then one subfolder per edition. Now I wonder if the metadata language field isn't sufficient, and we could dispense with the intermediary sorting by language (which is still convenient probably).
