oss-website's Issues

Tracks page incomplete

Screenshot 2023-03-27 at 16 44 31

There are a few sessions which have been linked as part of DevSecOps on their individual pages which are not displayed here and ought to be added.

These are ' TAKING YOUR DEVOPS TOOLING TO THE DARK SIDE' 'THE NETWORK - ADD ZERO TRUST SUPERPOWERS TO YOUR CRITICAL APPLICATIONS AND SYSTEMS' 'ZERO TRUST DATABASE ACCESS USING OPENZITI AND JDBC'

Additionally when you click the 'View Track' button it leads to this same page, either remove link if its redundant or ensure it works?

Add title of session to information section

Screenshot 2023-03-27 at 16 18 21

As an outsider this section can be confusing, almost looks as if it is a sign up page to be a speaker instead of informing details about the session. An idea is to reiterate the name of the session just above the names of the speakers (Eg Language Content Negotiation) and also to remove the Topics section as it appears to be redundant. I'd also suggest just below this section where the abstract for the session is to make the type larger and more accessible as it gets lost on the page , perhaps even placing the writing on the right hand side of this information box.

Add actual date and time to the Session page

The date at the top should definitely include the calendar date not just the day of the week (Eg Monday 27th March )This also eliminates the need to say 'When (day)' , it can just say 'When'

create a playbook/checklist for what needs to happen after each OSS session that has content (like the ones we had already)

  • record to cloud
  • get presentation slides from presenters
  • upload raw recording to YouTube
  • update OSS site (on project and session page)
  • upload presentation to Google Slides
  • link presentation to OSS Sessions
  • publish on social media the video
  • see if this is a session that we need to create small videos (and if it is, add it to the list)
  • put link with video and slides on the project's or topics Slack channel
  • CC on Social media the organiser of that session posts that reference that video (i.e. we need to make it super easy for the organiser to share that view)

Platforms we need to do this, that we already have presence

  • YouTube (full videos)
  • twitter
  • linkedin
  • Platforms to also publish
  • YouTube (small videos)
  • Facebook
  • TikTok
  • Instagram
