VICE-core

OpenEmu Core plugin for VICE 3.4

Prerequisites

In order to build VICE-core Xcode project, follow these steps to build the OpenEmu VICE dynamic library, liboex64sc.dylib first.

Open a terminal and change to the deps/vice path:

$ cd deps/vice

Create a build directory

$ mkdir cmake-build

Generate the build scripts (GNU make by default)

$ cmake -B cmake-build -DUSE_OEHEADLESS=YES -DUSE_ALT_CPU=YES -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE

Finally, execute a RELEASE build

$ cmake --build cmake-build --target oex64sc --config Release -- -j`nproc --ignore=2`

NOTE

-- -j`nproc --ignore=2` instructs make to use all but two of your system's cores, which reduces build time considerably.

brew cask install is disabled in latest Homebrew

brew cask install basictex is in deps/vice/doc/building/macOS-SDL2-Howto.txt and deps/vice/doc/building/macOS-GTK3-Howto.txt, but this doesn't work now because of update of Homebrew.

All brew cask commands have been deprecated in favour of brew commands (with --cask) when necessary

Could you provide an Coreplugin?

Could you provide a release of an oecoreplugin-file, so that uses not familiar with Xcode could use it? I tried compiling the source but always get errors.
