Please bring back [OERingBuffer usedBytes] and deprecate it so that it is possible to test new plug-ins against the latest version of the SDK on the current release version of OpenEmu.app (v2.0.5 as of this writing).

When the Touch Bar device process (TouchBarUserDevice) is running, OpenEmu will crash in -[OEHIDDeviceHandler locationID]. Closing the Touch Bar simulator doesn't prevent the issue, as the process is still running in the background; it must be killed manually.

I'm obviously not able to very if this will affect actual Touch Bar MBPs, but it seems likely.

If i want to send events from an external process how do you see this working / how inefficient do think this would be as far as adding more lag (inside of OpenEmu-SDK/OpenEmuSystem/OEHIDDeviceHandler.m, assuming I have a standard 3rd party device already attached as well)?:

• callback function:
  1. that accesses a shared memory address from the external process,
  2. if the data in the shared memory changes from before, create a OEHIDEvent with the relevant information, and call dispatchEvent on it
• CFRunLoopTimer attahched to CFRunLoopGetMain inside of OE_setUpCallbacks, that runs the callback function every 100microseconds
