Motivation behind porting it to GO about go-docker-registry HOT 1 CLOSED

We use go-docker-registry in Atlantis, our PaaS which is predominantly written in Go. We originally were using the stock docker registry, but as our volume increased, we began experiencing intermittent failures of the python implementation including random crashes and restarts, unacceptable performance, and general lack of stability. At that time, we decided to implement the registry in Go to integrate better with Atlantis, and we have since been using it without issue.
