Hi, I'm trying to create an Android application where I can communicate with an X18 mixer. The objective would be to listen to certain audio channels to avoid many cables used to return headphones. Could you tell me if this is possible or if I'm slow. If so, could you give me tips on materials for this?

Is it possible to get the signal level of each channel in real-time?

I guess that polling is not the right approach because it would be slow.

• I don't think passing a value out of bounds is severe enough to raise an exception.
• The README details parameter ranges.
• The mixer will silently trim values out of bounds so I don't think this can introduce any problems.

First so many thanks for this lib.

I try to receive MIDI input from an external controller fader, then transform and forward events to the MR18 through OSC api call.
Sadly, api calls don't allow to forward faders event to MR18 in real time, occuring a big latency.

Is there a way to forward OSC events in real-time ?

I have a MR18, and I'd like to use this to update the mix for a bus, give each channel a specific volume value and mute state, but only on a specific output bus. The purpose is to have different mixes depending on which song we're playing.
I can't try it out right now, as the MR18 is physically in a friend's house where we play music together, but I'd like to write a few test lines of code before going there, so that I don't have to explore and start fresh during the time we're supposed to play.

I would do things like this pseudo code:

def set_song_1():
mr18.bus[2].channels[7].volume = 0.7
mr18.bus[2].channels[8].mute = True

Is my use case possible with this tool?
