removal-of-specular-reflection-component's Issues

May I ask where this idea comes from

I read your code and find it quite interesting that you remove the specular reflection component by fitting a coefficient for every hue value. The idea of the coefficient is kind of like the mean ratio of the image intensity and saturation of the pixels with similar hue value, I don't know if I misunderstand the code. So the saturation of every pixel remains unchanged and only the intensity is multiplied with the ratio?
I just want to ask it this idea was from any paper that I can refer to?
BTW, I run the code and found the result does not look exactly like the origin image, but use it as a component and mix it with the origin image achieves what I first expect.
Thanks in advance!
