Overview: Set up VPN server on vpn.hdanny.org. Test connection from your computer. Test connection from your router.

Tasks:

1. SSH into the server (which has all the ports open): ssh [email protected]. This is an EC2 instance that you have sudo access to. Feel free to do whatever you want.
2. Set up L2TP server on the server. Here's the guide that I used, but I failed to make a connection from my router to the server. Maybe you can figure out a better solution.
3. Set up PPTP server on the server. Here's the guide that I used. Again, I failed to make a connection from my router to the server.

To test your VPN server (whether it be L2TP or PPTP), do the following:

1. Connect to the VPN server from your desktop. Note that Windows 10 has this bug.
2. Connect to the VPN server from your phone.
3. If the above works, connect to the VPN server from your router's configuration page.

If the connection is successful, you will have the same IP address as the VPN server (which you can check using this link).
