Jobs board in Flask

To install:

Requires postgresql, python, and virtualenv

Clone this repo:

git clone [email protected]:NYCPython/jobs-board.git

In a fresh virtualenv install the requirements

pip install -r requirements.txt

Create the database:

createdb jobsboard

python manage.py db upgrade

RSS feed

New jobs posted should go into an RSS feed

Registering a user causes an error

Trying to create a user at /auth/register causes sqlalchemy.exc.IntegrityError. I believe it is because the forum is not creating a username for the User object.

New job fields

The list so far:

  • Tags
  • Type (full time, contract, etc.)
  • Salary range
  • Experience level

Feel free to add more to this issue before implementation.

Users cannot share the same password

Trying to create two entirely unique users with the same password of 'password', I get this exception

sqlalchemy.exc.IntegrityError
sqlalchemy.exc.IntegrityError: (IntegrityError) duplicate key value violates unique constraint "user_password_key"
DETAIL:  Key (password)=(password) already exists.
