reactnd-myreads's Introduction

MyReads Book Tracking App

Description

This is the 7th project for the Udacity Front-End Web Dev Nanodegree as well as for the React Fundamentals courses.

This Book Tracking App was built on top of Udacity's starter template, and our job was to create a virtual bookcase using React by building the functionality, utilizing React components to manage the user interface, and mainly to be able to move books between shelves ('currently reading', 'want to read', and 'read'). The provided Books API makes it possible to search for books and add them to the appropriate bookshelf.

Note on Search Terms

The backend API uses a fixed set of cached search results and is limited to a particular set of search terms, which can be found in SEARCH_TERMS.md. That list of terms are the only terms that will work with the backend, so don't be surprised if your searches for Basket Weaving or Bubble Wrap don't come back with any results.
