Escalate a point in the case of bigger waste pile - need for transportation, special handling (dangerous stuff), attention from authorities etc.

Enable to create events (mapping/cleaning parties), set description, date and location; announce them and invite (FB) friends there. Post to FB/twitter.

Define region/place which is "my area", so I can get together with other people in same region. Most probably to clean it up.

Suggest user to register as real user, but can also contribute anonymously. Technically all users have usernames, but some have generated "anon123" without explicit password. A bit similar to waze solution. Enable to use FB/Google/twitter oAuth for authentication.

To enable point download (and upload?) faster

Clean up a point (waste), mark it as cleaned up and optionally enable to add picture (to proof) and tweet/FB about it.

If no connection, save data for later upload when connection is working again

Give activity points for adding a waste location (1 point), removing it (3 points) etc. Exact rules to be defined. Show top score list: global and among my friends.

Have listing & map of points what user itself has mapped, separate from general data. Show user profile page total number of added (and cleaned) points

Add "Share on facebook" button to point detail view (after adding point)

Make sure that all texts are in resource files. Integrate with some cooperative translation system, e.g. http://crowdin.net/
