Since msn server are no longer available (msn was shutdown on october 2014) we can remove the support for libmsn from Caya.

Show a confirmation yes/no dialog when the user press "Quit" button.

Option should be in the chat "Report as Abuse".If the user finds something offensive.

image gallery and music library should be provided for users so that they can share music and images from their computers by uploading it in their library.

(I'm guessing this GCI student is asking for some type of ability to upload stuff to dropbox or some other service. Make what you will of it)

To solve all protocols related problems Caya should have a libpurple addon.
It may be interesting to use it for any low level thing (such as profiles and settings).

This is a new issue, Facebook must have changed something.

For the alpha2 would be good to have the system localized in many languages.

If the login for some reason fail (wrong username/password), there is no way to reconnect, even after changing accounts configuration.

The only way is to restart caya

It should be nice that once the user change the Account login information the program try to reconnect using the new credentials.

Add details on how to get Caya working withount installing it (useful for who wants to contribute to Caya).

Licensing Haiku userland apps with the same permissive MIT license as the OS itself has advantages that could attract more interest to Haiku OS.

Haiku OS has the potential to fill the niche for people who philosophically disagree with restrictive copyleft licensing. For example, the only way to have a modern Web browser on top of BSD Unix without restrictive dependencies (ex. GTK, Qt) is to run Haiku and WebPositive in Bhyve.

I highly encourage all Haiku app developers to reconsider their reasons for using licenses like GPL.

Actually we are building the XMPP protocols (Jabber, Facebook, GTalk) by statically linking with the library. This result into three addons with code duplication and more size (20mb circa), this should be changed so that we build a unique addon providing the three protocols.

Tried building Caya on Haiku hrev46164 gcc4h.
Typed in ./configure, got some errors about "which" command not found. Replaced it with actual paths to those files just for testing purposes. This time, I got errors about Caya library not found. Commented out some stuff in Jamrules to get past this and I ended up with it whining about lack of openssl library, even though openssl-devel package was installed.
